Waterfowl hunting experts - goose hunting details

Jordi & Tanielle SullivanJordi & Tanielle Sullivan will be your host and guide. We have lived, guided and hunted this area of Alberta from the start of our hunting years. We know the area very well and are highly qualified in all aspects of the operation. With generous limits and a huge area to access, we pride ourselves on giving our clients safe, comfortable and successful hunts.

Arrival at Edmonton and Transportation

All our hunters must transport themselves to and from camp.  We recommend you arrive at camp the evening before your hunt date.  Edmonton is serviced by most major airlines from all main U.S. airports. (see map)

Early to Bed - Early to Rise

Like all hunts, we start early, rising at about 4 a.m. We have a small breakfast and then head for the fields. On most mornings, we are loading decoys and our morning limit by 10:30 a.m. and heading back to camp.

Upon arrival back at camp, our cook will have a large and hearty breakfast ready to serve. We all tend to eat too much, then exchange a few stories.

Goose hunting in a goose chairAt about 2 p.m., we will have lunch and then prepare for the evening hunt. Most evenings are spent duck hunting either in a grain field on a pond or along the Vermilion River. After the evening hunt, we return to camp for supper. Our cook prepares a variety of different foods including wild game.

Packing and Items to Bring

Alberta's climate is classified as northern cool-temperate. In September and October, when we hold our hunts, the temperature can range from 68 F (20C) to - 4 F (-20C). The former temperature occurs much more often than the latter temperature, in fact, Alberta is renowned for it's beautiful blue, clear skies and sunny weather in the fall.

You should bring typical fall hunting gear including a jacket, sweater, cap and raingear. Your shotgun and personal medications should not be forgotten. Give us a call or e-mail prior to your departure for the latest weather forecast.

Tools of the Trade

We use all the newest and most innovative blinds and decoys. From lay down blinds to bale blinds, we have all the latest gear. Also, we still use natural willow blinds when the need arises. Our decoys are the newest in full body and shell design. We also utilize some of today's new silhouettes.
